Azure App Service with Autoscaling deploy with Terraform
Hey DevOps SRE engineers!! Welcome back today I'm with one more interesting Cloud automation learning using IaC Terraform. Beginning Learning New concepts in Azure Cloud High level Steps Pick the plan tier. Autoscale needs Standard (S1) or higher. For learning lab we are using Free subscription, so the limitations and cost effective resources we need to consider for selection. Shared and Basic can only scale manually. S1 is the cheapest option that supports autoscale, and it also gives you deployment slots. Check quota in your region. Some trial subscriptions have little or no Standard-tier quota in certain regions. Check with az appservice list-locations --sku S1 -o table, and try centralindia or southeastasia if a region is blocked. Create a resource group , App Service Plan , and Web App with Node.js. Use Linux unless you need Windows as OS machine. Add Application Insights and Log Analytics so you can see what scaling is reacting to. Define the autoscale setting with a minim...
